Calabasas and Hidden Hills are affluent communities in the West San Fernando Valley, known for guard-gated neighborhoods, pristine landscaping and top ranked schools. Both cities are served by the Las Virgenes Unified School District (LVUSD), which is one of the most renowned school districts in the state of California. Residents enjoy the convenience of elite shops and restaurants at “The Commons” center, while a myriad of luxury amenities are available nearby. The location of Calabasas is extremely desirable due to its close proximity to all of the cities in the Valley with only a short canyon drive to Malibu beaches. The city is recognized for its award-winning landscaping and incredible mountain and canyon views.
While Calabasas offers 17 gated communities and an additional 12 guard-gated communities, the bordering city of Hidden Hills is entirely gated. Residents of Hidden Hills enjoy the benefits of an equestrian community surrounded by the nature reserve and greenbelt of the Upper Las Virgenes Canyon Open Space Preserve, a park with miles of equestrian, hiking, and mountain biking trails. Hidden Hills was named the wealthiest city in the country in 2011.
